Hyaluronic acid is a substance which is one of the main components of natural, healthy skin and is the main ingredient in the dermal fillers we use at Takahashi Facial Aesthetics. It is used to soften deep folds and wrinkles in the face, sculpt and reshape contours of the face that may have become deficient over time, as well as enhance and define the lips. As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of gravity and repeated facial expressions. This results in lines and folds developing in our faces which make us look older or tired. To combat this natural progression, dermal fillers, when injected carefully under the skin by a board certified physician, increase overall volume under your skin to help soften or eliminate those lines that develop over time. Most dermal fillers that are made from hyaluronic acid last for approximately 6-12 months. We are excited to also offer Voluma with it’s proprietary “cross linking” technology to lift and enhance cheek contours, giving you a dramatically more youthful look which can last up to 2 years.
